Twilight Fog (2023-2024)

In late 2021 I was driving on the highway past midnight  
and the morning fog was rolling in. After a bend I saw the  
most ethereal sight of the streetlights lighting illuminating  
the fog in a warm mist that covered everything around.  
After getting home I’ve always remembered that sight and I  
want to convey the wonderful and mystical sensation I felt  
in that moment.

This piece uses a wide variety of saxophone quarter and half tones for its melody and features interludes of pitched key clicks for the saxophone.
