BUTTERFLY CYCLE PREMIERE
The premiere of the piece "Butterfly Cycle". An eclectic mix of instruments paired with a new unusual notation for flexitone. "Butterfly Cycle" travels through the cycle of death, birth, rebirth, and death in a ritualistic fashion that engages both the players and audience.
BIKING DOWN HALEAKALA
This piece is meant to re-tell the story of my family and my fiance mountain biking down a volcano called Haleakalā in Maui,Hawaii. It was very eventful as me, my brother, my mother and my fiance all went down the volcano in different ways and at our own pace. There were falls, exciting runs, and an injuring crash that resulted in a story of how four started down the mountain and two made it to the bottom.
This piece also utilizes the call of the 'akohekohe bird as an instrument with the electronic keyboard.
Current Project
Currently, I am working on a piece about Immigrants' struggles in America and the xenophobia that immigrants have always faced within this country. I am hoping that I can do something meaningful with this piece and I hope that you can help share this with anyone who you think might be interested.
