Phantom Connections (2022-2023)

A piece I wrote in a more difficult period of my life. When we lose the things we love, they leave a lingering swirl of feelings long after they’re lost to us. “Phantom Connections” is my attempt to capture the strange mix of agony, anger, sadness, joy, nostalgia and love that haunt everyone who has loved and lost. The wide timbre of the orchestra allowed for some very interesting uses of timbre that I thought fitted my idea of “Phantom Connections”.
